Freshman art student Luke Hastings observes a 3D printer at MakerSpace
Students from Elder’s Art Club visited the Main Library’s MakerSpace on November 16th. Following a tour of the facilities and all the different materials and technology that is available for use, the students were able to create their own buttons using library computers and button machines.
According to the Library's website, a makerspace is a place where creative people can gather, create, invent, and learn. Customers of the Library have access to 3D printers, audio and visual equipment, laser cutters and engravers, sewing machines, cameras and other hardware and software tools that they can use for free to create pretty much anything they can imagine.
