J.T. Williams (Washington & Lee University) was recently named a National AP Scholar. J.T. took nine AP tests and had an average score of 4.56.

This distinction is granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

J.T. is Elder High School's first National AP Scholar since Kevin Groll (Vanderbilt University) achieved the distinction in 2012.
