Tech-reach, an outreach program of Elder High School, is housed in Elder’s state of the art technology center— The Schaeper Center. It’s mission, which developed out of Elder’s goal of community leadership, is to empower the children, families, organizations and community of Price Hill and surrounding communities through technology education.
Tech-reach, under the leadership of Sister Nancy Kinross CPPS and in concert with Seton High School’s Sister Sandy Howe SC, offers computer enhanced math tutoring to local grades schoolers. In addition tech-reach offers computer summer camps for area children, adult computer classes, Conversational English courses for Hispanics and Conversational Spanish for those who work with Hispanics. Tech-reach joins with United Way, the IRS and other local helping agencies to provide free tax preparation for folks who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit.
