Courses:
During junior and senior years, students have the opportunity of enrolling in several business courses.
Accounting I – Students learn the basics of financial accounting for proprietorships and corporations by preparing journals, ledgers, worksheets, and financial statements.
Accounting II – Advanced accounting students are given more analytical and theoretical knowledge of accounting to help prepare them for college accounting and work experience in the field.
Personal Finance – Students build a foundation of skills for success in their personal lives and business world by studying the principals of money management and financial responsibility. They learn how to prepare budgets, read cash flow statements, and understand the proper use of credit. They examine the fundamentals of banking, savings, and investing. Career exploration, resume writing, and interviewing are also included in this course.
Consumer Education – This course prepares the student to become a wise, scrupulous consumer in today's rapidly changing marketplace.
Introduction to Business - This course introduces the student to the world of business and helps prepare them for the economic roles of consumer, worker and citizen.
