Computer & Information Literacy

- Equips students to use Elder’s computing resources throughout high school
- Covers essential Windows XP, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Introduces standard MLA guidelines for papers
- Teaches effective Internet and Library research methods
Software Use
- 0.5 credit, 1 semester, Grades 10-12
- Covers essential Windows XP, MS Office XP (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Construct web pages using HTML, MS FrontPage
Graphic Design Software Use
- 0.5 credit, 1 semester, Grades 10-12
- Emphasizes principles & elements of graphic design
- Covers essential Windows XP, MS Office XP (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Incorporates Adobe Photoshop Elements
Computer Science I (Visual Basic)
- 0.5 credit, 1 semester, Grades 10-12
- Learn to write programs in Visual Basic
- Incorporates principles of program design for event-driven software
Computer Science II (Visual Basic)
- 0.5 credit, 1 semester, Grades 10-12
- Expands knowledge of Visual Basic to solve more complex problems
- Incorporates techniques for network and web-based programming
AP Computer Science I & II (Java)
- 0.5 credit each semester, Grades 10-12
- Learn principles of program design, and object-oriented programming in Java
- Prepare for the Advanced Placement (AP) Exam in Computer Science
Database Application Development I & II

- Combines elements of .NET, ASP, HTML, VB, Javascript, and SQL Server
