Class of 2010 Joins the Ranks of Elder Alums
The 88th Elder High School Commencement Ceremonies took place on Wednesday, June 2nd at the Jean Patrice Harrington Student Center on the campus of Mount Saint Joseph.
Pat Kelsey '93, Associate Head Coach for the Xavier University Men's Basketball Team, addressed the 88th graduating class. Pat was point guard for the '93 Elder State Championship team. He coached at Elder, then coached at Wake Forest under Skip Prosser, before returning to Cincinnati to coach for X.U., his college alma mater. Pat is pictured with Elder basketball coach and teacher, Joe Schoenfeld.

On Monday, May 31st the Baccalaureate Mass was held at St. Theresa Church. Awards were also distributed to honor the many accomplishments of the class of 2010.
We are proud to announce this year's Valedictorian is Mark A. Roser and the 2010 Salutatorian is Alexander M. Redrow.

Five students were given awards of distinction to honor their accomplishments and their contributions to the Elder Community. These award winners are:
Archbishop Elder Memorial Award (Elder's Highest Honor):
To the Student who best exemplifies the type of graduate Elder aims to develop.

Leadership Award:
To the Student who was outstanding in his positive leadership at Elder.
Mark R. Miller
Christian Life Award:
To the Student who, by his actions, has lived the principles that Jesus taught and to which all of us are called.
Matthew A. Reckers
Memorial - The Reverend Ralph C. Bange
To the Student who was outstanding in the use of his talents both in class and in extra-curricular activities.
William C. Voellmecke
Distinguished Service Award:
To the Student who was outstanding in his service to the Elder Community.
