Passport Campaign

Your Gift to the Passport Campaign

In June of 2006, Elder High School completed a planning process that began in 2004.  It was very apparent from early on to all the participants that education is evolving rapidly and that Elder needed to keep pace.  Also impacting the review was the elimination of the feeder school “districting.”  Elder will now find itself in a true competitive market in recruiting students.  Change was upon Elder and all of the Cincinnati area schools.

Just as Elder promised to define its future during the Vision 2020 Campaign initiative in 2000, it was quickly apparent that a new future was at Elder’s doorstep.  Rather than leap to conclusions as to the future needs of the school, Elder chose to survey, listen and then discuss and evaluate what the school’s various constituencies had to say.

The outcomes became the basis for the launch of The Passport Campaign.  Changes and adjustments to improve Elder began and were continued throughout the journey.

The Passport Campaign permits a continuum of change and improvements, which are all integrated and student centered.  Everything from technology and academic enhancements to safety of the students and facility development have emerged as priorities for Elder.  Additionally faculty enrichment and the need for an increased tuition assistance fund have come to the forefront in this campaign.

So at different times in people’s lives they may be in a position to make a capital gift.  Hopefully for many that time is now.  Funding the identified needs is the only way to guarantee Elder’s future.
