Choosing the right high school can be a challenging process. Shadowing allows a young man to go directly to the heart of the high school experience: spending a day on campus and in our classrooms. The Shadow Program provides an opportunity for prospective students to ask questions of our students and teachers, to sample the ambiance of the school, and to determine if Elder is a place where he will personally be comfortable.
Program Details:
- Shadow guests are encouraged to visit on Fridays, however any day but Mondays are acceptable.
- 8th graders cannot shadow November 24-30 or after December 21.
- Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
- In an effort to ensure the optimal shadow experience, Elder can only accommodate up to twelve students on any given day.
- Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Visiting students can request which Elder student they'd like to shadow.
- Visiting students should arrive and check in at 7:40 A.M. in the Main Hallway, entering through the doors opposite the football stadium.
- If shadowing on a Friday, guests may wear an Elder t-shirt or another appropriate purple shirt, jeans and gym shoes. On other days, any type of dress trouser and collared shirt may be worn with dress shoes or gym shoes.
- A lunch voucher, good for up to $5.00, will be provided.
- The day concludes at 2:30 P.M.
- Students may be picked up and dropped off at the same location.
