Tech-reach, a community outreach of Elder High School, is housed in Elder’s state-of-the-art technology Schaeper Center. It’s mission, which developed out of Elder’s goal of community leadership, is “to improve quality of life for the people of Price Hill and surrounding communities through enhanced access to technology education and technology-enhanced learning opportunities.”
Tech-reach, under the leadership of Director Nancy House, offers programming designed to help residents and community groups enhance job prospects, academic achievement and communications. Programs include computer courses for adults and computer-enhanced learning for local grades schoolers. In addition, tech-reach offers summertime physical/social fitness programs for children, custom staff technology trainings for local non-profits, community-building events and activities, and Conversational Spanish. Tech-reach hosts free tax preparation for those who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit.
