What is Elderama?
Elderama is an exciting, fun-filled evening attended by parents, faculty, alumni and friends of Elder High School to benefit the young men of Elder.  The proceeds from the auction are used for financial aid.

When and where is Elderama?
Elderama 2009 was held in Elder’s Memorial Fieldhouse on Saturday, October 10, 2009. 

How to help with Elderama? 
In order to produce a successful event, it takes a great team of dedicated volunteers who are willing to give of their time and talent to guarantee that the event will be success. Please call the Elderama Office at 921-3744 ext 3416 to volunteer for one of the many committees. Committees we need help with Decorations, Invitations, Set-Up and Auction Night Workers.

What is a live auction?
Lance Walker is a professional auctioneer and he directed the fast and furious bidding for over 50 valuable items.

What is a silent auction? 
Try for many unique and fabulous items by bidding and checking on your bids throughout the evening.  The fun begins when you keep tabs on your bids at six different areas of shopping.

What is a Gift Gathering Party? 
The success of the auction depends upon the generosity of those who donate much needed cash and items.  The gifts are usually obtained from donors at “Gift Gathering Parties” that are held over the summer.  The parties are not only a fantastic way to support Elderama, they are also a great way to meet other parents of Elder High School.  No gift is too large or too small for the auction.

Attend one of the parish gift gathering parties this summer. Look for your invitation coming in the mail this summer.

Gift ideas

• Anything purple or handcrafted Elder items
• Gift certificates to restaurants, discount stores, florists or sporting goods
• Tickets to sporting events – Bengals, Reds, XU, UC, Ohio State, etc.
• Tickets to Covedale Theatre, Playhouse in the Park or The Aronoff
• Use of vacation homes, condos
• Private box to a sporting event or concert
• Artwork
• Cash donation is always welcome
