Upcoming Events

The Alumni Association plans events throughout the year, both professional and social in nature. This calendar will provide you with a month-by-month listing of events that we have planned for grads of all ages. A summary listing of all alumni events can be found at the bottom of this page.

  • Alumni Golf Outing

    One of our signature events, the Alumni Golf Outing presented by Nehemiah Manufacturing Co. attracts over 400 golfers each year to play at Aston Oaks, Hidden Valley, and Neumann golf courses on the first Friday of June. 

    Sign-ups take place in the winter/spring, and registration includes greens fees (18 holes with cart), tee gift(s), lunch, dinner at Aston Oaks, and refreshments. Format is four-man scramble with prizes awarded. This event sells out very quickly each year, so don't be caught by surprise!

  • Tom & Bonnie Otten Elder Alumni Family Picnic

    What a fun evening it is with family and friends of Elder High School as Stricker's Grove plays host for this always enjoyable event! Usually held in early August, hundreds of grads will gather with families and friends to enjoy a picnic, amusement park rides, live entertainment by the Seton/Elder Steel Drum Band and the Elder Glee Club, and more! Admission is always affordable and we have free ice cream tickets for the kids!

    Hot dogs and JTM burgers available for purchase. Coolers and picnic baskets welcome, but alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the park. Stricker's Grove sells beer, soft drinks, and other items at its concession stands.
  • Grandparent/Grandson Mass and Brunch

    Grandfathers and Grandmothers alike, along with their young future Panthers, celebrate Mass together before enjoying a tasty brunch in the school cafeteria. Prior to Mass, attendees can sift through old yearbooks in our Library to find pictures of themselves, friends, and relatives. After brunch, feel free to tour campus, visit classrooms, science labs, and performing arts facilities, as well as run on the football field, buy something purple from our Spirit Shop, and more! Advanced reservations required.
  • Elder Businessmen's Golf Outing

    The Annual EBA Golf Outing has been teeing off since 2001. Formerly at Grand Oak Golf Course, the outing will move to Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course beginning in 2023. This event is an important fundraiser assisting graduating seniors in continuing their education beyond Elder. Registrations include 18 holes of golf with cart and dinner. Shotgun start.   • Purple & White Senior Alumni Mass & Dinner

    Formerly known as our "Over 50" event, Elder alumni who graduated 50-or-more years ago are invited to celebrate together in late summer/early fall. Invitations are mailed in advance to eligible grads. Advance reservations required. Click here to update your contact information.
  • Elder Alumni Bowling League

    Started in the late-1980s, this is a Thursday night league at Western Bowl which runs from early October thru late February. This is a great way to stay socially connected to the Elder Family during the cooler months of the year. Contact Paul Kenkel '78 at 513-373-8160 or kenks@fuse.net.
  • Altiora Dart League

    A fun, social, adult (18+) steel tip dart league that meets every Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at The Crow's Nest in Price Hill (map it) from mid-September through late-November. Open to grads and all friends of Elder. Cost is $200.00 per team of four players, which includes end-of-season dinner and prizes.   • EBA Career Day for Students

    Started in 1997 and sponsored by the Elder Businessmen's Association, Career Day for Students takes place during Catholic Schools Week in early winter. Over 70 presenters from many different career fields are on hand to answer questions of the juniors and seniors, while freshmen and sophomores attend a special career panel presentation.

  • Elder Sports Stag

    The Elder Alumni Sports Stag is one of the longest running high school stags in the country. Started in 1977, hundreds of Elder alumni descend upon Elder's campus for this annual "guys night out" event with good friends, former classmates, and other supporters of Elder.

    Tickets for the event usually go on sale 2-3 months in advance, and attendees can choose between general admission and VIP/Patron admission, which includes access to a private Principal's Reception with the featured speaker, special guests, and other dignitaries. All tickets include admission, a reception, drinks, dinner, program, and social. Men must be at least 21-years-old to attend. Proceeds from the event benefit the Faculty of Elder High School.
  • Alumni Awards

    The Alumni Association annually recognizes graduates and active supporters of the school through the presentation of five alumni awards:
    • Christian Leadership Award
    • Spirit Award
    • Athletic Excellence Award
    • Professional Distinction Award
    • Cultural Enrichment Award
    These awards are presented each spring at a ceremony held in the Rev. Jerome A. Schaeper Center on Elder's campus. The ceremony is open to the public, but RSVPs are required in advance. Click here to learn more about the Alumni Awards and past recipients.
  • Elder Alumni Softball League

    What a great way to spend the spring and summer...swinging for the fences alongside fellow Elder grads and friends. Started in 1981 and going strong ever since, teams battle for alumni supremacy throughout the regular season and again during our one-pitch tournament in late-July.
