During Teacher Appreciation Week, Elder High School proudly recognizes those teachers and staffers who are celebrating milestone anniversaries working in Catholic education in the 2019-2020 school year!
It’s so important for us all to come together united in one faith during this pandemic and more importantly during this Holy Week. And though all of us are apart from each other during this most sacred week, it’s wonderful to see so many from the Elder Family bringing the liturgy into our homes so that we can still worship and pray.
Elder wrestlers who qualified for the state tournament in March, Drew Magness '22, Willie Doepker '20, Jack Collins '20, and Bartley Thomas '22, will go down as 2020 State Champions in the hearts and minds of a proud Elder Nation!
Every year since 1975, the students, faculty, and staff of Elder High School have participated in the Walk for Others to raise important funds for our tuition assistance program and other local charities.
The National Merit Scholarship Program has determined that seniors Sam Harmeyer, Evan Vollmer, and Jared Vornhagen have met all requirements to advance to Finalist standing in the 2020 Competition for National Merit Scholarships!
Senior Will Tuttle's essay was selected as the local winner of the Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Contest sponsored by the Veterans of Foreigh War (VFW). Will received a $600 scholarship award and now moves onto the state level of the competition.
Winners of the 2020 Regional Scholastic Art Competition included twenty-five individual Elder art pieces and one art portfolio (Simon Feist '20). Jason Thomas ’20 also had his winning piece "Midnight Lights" selected as an American Visions Nominee.
