Art Students Net 22 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Students from Elder's highly regarded Art Department landed 22 awards at the 2019 Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world. Through the Awards, students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. Judges reviewed nearly 5,000 pieces submitted in our region alone. Works were judged on originality, technical skills, and the emergence of personal vision or voice. Gold Key winning pieces will be sent onto judging at the national level where they could be chosen for a show held in New York City.
