"Why Not?" Service Group, Elder Students Help Serve Homeless

Members of the "Why Not?" Service Group, a student-led organization at Elder, and members of Elder's Leadership Seminar 2 Honors Program class served the homeless at Maslow’s Army outreach on Sunday, September 15.
Each student helped set up, serve, and break down the event. This outreach had over 200 homeless find the basics of living thanks to the generosity of the many Elder students involved.

The “Why Not?” Service Group was created by senior Aidan Corey '20 and a group of classmates based upon their experience in the Leadership Seminar class and the service activities they accomplished while working together in the class. The group's primary objective is finding opportunities to help those at a disadvantage due to social or economic barriers. They created t-shirts, a Twitter page (@_WhyNotSG), and web page to share their experiences throughout the year.
