Alumni Sports Stag

A member of Elder’s 1993 Ohio state championship basketball team, Kelsey went on to play at the University of Wyoming before transferring to Xavier University for his final three years. Following stints as an assistant coach at both Wake Forest University and Xavier (2001-2012), “Kels” would land his first head coaching role at Winthrop University (2012-2021) where his teams averaged 20+ wins per season with three NCAA Tournament appearances. He was the 2021 Big South Coach of the Year. Pat is now entering his third year at the helm at the College of Charleston following a 31-4 campaign and another NCAA Tournament appearance last year. Welcome home, Pat!

All tickets include refreshments for the evening, buffet dinner, and program seating in the Fieldhouse. Patron guests will receive an Elder gift and enjoy a cocktail party, alongside our featured speaker, emcee, and other special guests, with heavy appetizers and high-end bar in the Schaeper Center. Our General guests will be treated to a cocktail party in the Cafeteria.

The Sports Stag is a men-only event. Must be 21 or older to attend. Proceeds from the Sports Stag benefit the faculty of Elder High School.
