Elder High School is a comprehensive Catholic high school committed to educating young men in grades 9-12.  We welcome students regardless of race, color, religious preference, and national or ethnic origin.  Young men who wish to be part of the Elder High School community will find an academically challenging and spiritually enriching environment. With rigorous academics and a spirited campus life, we challenge students to develop the character, critical-thinking skills and values to be a positive force in the world.

The checklist below contains due dates and important information for those interested in becoming part of the Elder High School Class of 2029. Any questions can always be directed to our Admissions Staff.

Applying to Elder High School

  • 1. Complete an Admissions Application

    Click here to login and fill out the online application. If you don't already have a login, you will be prompted to create one before proceeding with the application.

    Students who wish to receive Special Education Services at Elder must indicate so on their application and provide their most recent Evaluation Team Report and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individual Service Plan (ISP) to Elder by November 9, 2024.
  • 2. Complete a Records Release Form for the following records:

    In order for Elder High School to receive your son's school records, including report cards, attendance and disciplinary records, standardized test data, etc., please provide a completed Records Release Form to your grade school by November 1, 2024.

    The Archdiocese of Cincinnati provides a Records Release Form to each of its grade schools. Parochial school students should request a form from their respective grade schools. Public school students may print and use Elder's form by clicking here.
  • 3. Register for the High School Placement Test

    All incoming freshmen interested in attending Elder High School or any Archdiocesan high school must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Students may take the HSPT at any Archdiocesan high school and have the option of sending their results to three different schools. The official HSPT date is November 23, 2024.
