Students from all levels of art will be exhibiting works of drawing, painting, collage, photography, and sculpture at the Annual Elder Art Show on Sunday, April 28, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the school gymnasium.
The students' final projects, or "bonanzas" as we refer to them in the Art Department, will be on display along with our AP Studio artists' portfolios.
The pinnacle of the show will be our 4th Annual Big Head Wrestling Tournament. To enter the tournament, art students will work in groups constructing giant, sculptural heads throughout the 4th quarter. At the show, they will enter a makeshift wrestling ring to compete against their fellow artists in a tournament unlike anything you've ever seen. Matches will start around 2:00 P.M. culminating with the final, winner-take-all match to see who takes home the coveted Champions Cardboard Belt. You don't want to miss it!
Admission is free and open to the public, so please join us on April 28 and help us celebrate the award-winning accomplishments of the Elder Art Department!
