Art Students Take Part in "Art in Root" Program

Students from Elder's Art Department visited Sharon Woods as part of Hamilton County Park's "Art in Root" Program. This is the third year that Elder art students have participated in the program.
The first step of the program calls for students to visit a Hamilton County park and take a naturalist-led hike where they can sketch and take photographs of their surroundings and learn more about the natural flora and fauna of the area.

Toward the beginning of the third quarter, a naturalist will then visit Elder with some animals as well as plants from the area.

Students will then create artworks based upon these opportunities and submit them to the Hamilton County Park "Art in Root" Art Show held in April.
