Elder Grad Wins Bengals Fan of the Year
Phil Amrein '79 loves the Cincinnati Bengals. On November 14, the Bengals and head coach Zac Taylor surprised Phil with the 2022 Bengals Fan of the Year Award!

Phil Amrein is a Bengals die-hard super fan and Season Ticket Member for almost 30 years. Not only does Phil host a tailgate for every Bengals home game, but Phil has traveled to and has tailgated 104 road games! In addition to his epic tailgates, for the past 13 years, Phil has also hosted other Bengals fans and Season Ticket Members to his house for what he calls "Bengalfest".
Outside of Phil spending time at Bengals games, he helps coordinate a non-profit called Cincy Boys with Hats. They are a self-funded group that provides meals to Cincinnati locals to provide meals, hats, gloves, and socks. Phil is the epitome of what it means to be a Bengals Season Ticket Member and represents Who Dey Nation in the most positive way.

Along with the Fan of the Year Award, Phil also received two (2) tickets to the Super Bowl on February 12, 2023, roundtrip airfare from Cincinnati, and lodging accommodations in Phoenix. However, being the Bengals "super fan" that he is, Phil had already purchased Super Bowl tickets and travel accommodations! So what's a generous guy like Phil to do?
SUPER BOWL TICKET RAFFLE TO BENEFIT CHARITIES
With permission from the Cincinnati Bengals and the NFL, Phil is hosting a raffle where one lucky winner will win two (2) tickets to the Super Bowl in Phoenix with airfare and condo lodging for two included (Feb. 9-13, 2023). Raffle tickets cost $20.00 each and all net proceeds will be donated to various charities, including Elder High School!
