Robert & Marilyn Bill Memorial
As a young boy, Bob, Elder Class of 1944, the youngest of eight children, was eager to follow his siblings who attended Elder. This included his oldest two sisters who were there in the 1920s!
While at Elder, Bob participated in many varied activities and made many lifelong and treasured friends. He often shared how Elder helped reinforce and strengthen his faith.
Bob and Marilyn were married in 1951. They had six children; their son attended Elder. As the family grew, three sons-in-law and four grandsons have experienced "that Purple Thing," and the tradition is and will continue with eight great-grandsons!
Feeling the pride of all, grateful Bob and Marilyn set up this scholarship so that other young men could strive for the higher things - "ALTIORA!"
