Jack Adam Achievement

Jack Adam, Elder Class of 1957, earned a B.S. degree in Physics at Xavier University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Administration at Purdue University.   Jack founded Mead, Adam, an investment counseling firm in Dayton with an office in Columbus and sold Mead Adam to Johnson Investment Counsel in 2009. He retired in 2014.  Jack and his wife Carol, a Seton graduate, reside in Dayton and have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. Jack began his scholarship for incoming freshmen at Elder in 1984 and continues to encourage academic achievement through this scholarship today.  Their children live in Illinois, Arizona, Massachusetts, and California. It’s difficult to see the grandchildren play sports so Jack and Carol attend many Elder games, including games at the Jack Adam Baseball Stadium at the Panther Athletic Complex, named for Jack in the spring of 2014.
