Henry Hofmeyer Memorial

Henry B. Hofmeyer, Elder Class of 1973, went to work for his father’s plumbing business while attending a five-year program to obtain his Master Plumber’s License.

Henry and his wife Carol raised four children: Hank, Elder Class of 1997, and Jackie, Abby and Lindsey who all attended Seton.

Henry loved his family, his profession as a plumber, Elder High School and also the many long-time customers he served in the greater Cincinnati area which included many Elder alumni.  He loved teaching others the plumbing trade and he enjoyed working alongside his son, Hank, not to mention the many nephews and skilled Hofmeyer plumbing associates he worked alongside over the years.  His plumbing family was his second family (even those who weren’t related).

Henry was a past president of the Master Plumbers Association and exemplified what it meant to live the trade.  He was so excited when his son, Hank joined the family business and followed in his footsteps.

Henry’s favorite motto is on Elder’s Panther Fitness Center wall – “What I had I gave, What I saved I lost!”

Every day Henry gave his love for his family and his expertise in plumbing serving others with great pride and joy! When he passed away suddenly in June of 2018, memorial gifts for Henry helped create this scholarship fund.
