Advancing Our Legacy

To honor the eleven founding parishes, the inspirational leadership they provided and the priceless gift of Elder High School they gave us, the current Elder family has created the Advancing Our Legacy - 100 Years United in Faith capital campaign that is designed to position Elder for the next 100 years. Through this campaign, we will reaffirm our commitment to fulfilling the dream of our founders, the dream we proudly inherit and relentlessly pursue.

Goal $12.5 Million

Linda and Harry Fath have offered a generous $1 million challenge gift to be matched as part of Elder’s 100th Anniversary Advancing Our Legacy capital campaign. Mr. Fath, a Cincinnati philanthropist and St. X graduate, made this gift in honor of his childhood friend and Elder alumnus Dr. John “Bill” Meyer ’58, and it is restricted to Elder’s endowment for Catholic Inner City School Education (CISE) students at Elder. Linda and Harry made this gift because they appreciate the opportunities Elder offers to a diverse student population, including CISE students, and they encourage all Elder graduates to contribute to the campaign.

Currently, the campaign has reached the $11.5 million level toward our goal of $12.5 million. Gifts to the campaign can be made one time or over a period of years and will be fully matched as part of the million dollar challenge.

Suggested gift levels are listed on our giving page here. As you reflect on what Elder has meant to you and your family, please consider joining us in this historic and critically important initiative by making a gift to the campaign. Remember, all gifts will be matched 100% as part of the million dollar challenge! We are deeply grateful for your most generous consideration.

Celebrating A Century

Due to the courageous vision and passionate commitment of the eleven founding parishes, Elder High School opened its doors in September 1922 and will celebrate its centennial in the 2022-2023 school year. What an extraordinary achievement! 100 years of rich traditions and excellence in Catholic secondary education!
We invite you, as a member of the Elder High School family, to partner with us to Advance Our Legacy and make our vision a reality. Your participation will help to shape Elder’s next 100 years, ensure that an outstanding Elder education will continue to be available to the young men of Price Hill and surrounding areas of Cincinnati, and that Elder continues to “live and live gloriously!”
