Former MLB Pitcher Jeff Brantley to Headline 44th Annual Alumni Sports Stag

The Alumni Association is excited to welcome former MLB relief pitcher and current broadcaster for the Cincinnati Reds JEFF BRANTLEY to the 44th Annual Elder Alumni Sports Stag on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Brantley pitched in the majors from 1988 to 2001, playing for the Giants, Reds, Cardinals, Phillies, and Rangers. A career 3.39 ERA pitcher, he accumulated 172 saves over 14 seasons, including an MLB-best 44 in 1996 while pitching for the Reds.

After retiring as a player, Brantley joined ESPN as an in-game analyst and also  as a studio analyst on the network's popular Baseball Tonight show. He was later hired by the Reds in 2006, and is now entering his 14th season as a member of the Reds Radio and Reds TV broadcast teams.

The evening will be emceed by Elder grad and former longtime sports anchor with WCPO-TV, DENNIS "D.J." JANSON '68.

Pricing includes all drinks, snacks, dinner, and program. Doors open at 5:30 P.M. Dinner and program at 7:00. A cocktail reception for general admission ticketholders will be held in the cafeteria.

Patron ticketholders are invited to a special VIP cocktail reception hosted by Principal Kurt Ruffing in the Rev. Jerome A. Schaeper Center with Jeff Brantley, Dennis Janson, and many other sports figures, celebrities, and local dignitaries in attendance!

All proceeds from the Stag are donated to the Elder Faculty in appreciation for all they do for the young men of Elder High School.
